Rivet is layered on the Tcl C library, the Apache core and APR. I don't remember I introduced any Unix/Linux call after 2007 and someone (Pat Hoyts?) produced some builds for Windows in 2005, so my answer is 'yes', the problem should be with the build system which is based on autotools. Any call to Linux that might have slipped into the code should be easily replaced by its corresponding call to the APR library.
