Hi guys
I just want to let you know I met yesterday with Andrea Pescetti, chair
for the Apache OpenOffice Project. Andrea is a very clever and dedicated
professional, working for various organizations for which he and his
firm are developing the web communication infrastructure.
Meeting Andrea was easy, I came across his personal data on the Apache
website and found out he's a resident of Parma, my hometown. Yesterday
se was training on web publishing a class of students at the local
University not far from my office.
I made a point of the lack for support for Tcl among the scripting
languages in OpenOffice, he kindly promised to examine the case. I'm
sorry I didn't have a proposal for a closer interaction between our
projects at least a point-like contact that might work out some further
development and I can't imagine one at this time....
I don't know how many towns can claim to have >=2 chairs among the
residents. I would call it the Cheese-and-Ham Apache connection.
