Reportedly mod_rivet had problems with some version of apache2. but it
didn't fail on every combination.

I just tried mod_cgi with apache 2.4.10 and mod_rivet 2.2.0 and it works
pretty well. I have problems convincing mod_scgi not to return a 503
error (using the same configuration it worked for mod_cgi), but that's
me who is not able to get it working.
