Hi. Version was 1.2.8.tar.gz, but I think it may have been my fault. I DL'd
the file using Konqueror, and at least on FC1, and FC2 it has the habit of
unpacking it and displaying all the files in the file manager, or is that
Ark, I'm not sure. Anyway I extracted it and put it in the directory where
the rkhunter stuff lives. I installed rkhunter from the directory that was
created by the extract mechanism. Running update gave me quite a lot of
output, but ended up with an error. Ran update again, and got a very short
output showing error. I looked in mirrors.dat and saw there were none. I then
deleted /usr/local/bin/rkhunter, and the directory in /usr/local/rkhunter,
then DL'd the tarball again, this time dragging it into Kget, so that it DL'd
intact. Then installed it again in the usual manner, and this time there was
no problem with update.

btw. Is there a way to uninstall apps using ./installer.sh, or is it just a
case of deleting the files as I did?

Thanks for your concern. Nigel.

ps: rkhunter is on FC5's extras repo, or was it freshrpms? It runs regularly
as a cron job, and keeps logs. It also e-mails, but I only use Kmail, and
have no idea how to read the mail. Thats another question for another day.

Using Tomcat but need to do more? Need to support web services, security?
