hi
I am testing Mandriva 2007.
I ran hashupd (version 1.11) to get the distro version (hashes) recognised.
1) Any chance after John updates hashupd he included a version number in the
comments of the file itself?
2) I have a vanilla kernel in /opt/vanilla/linux (currently 2.6.18.2) with a
symbolic link to /usr/src with /lib/modules/ old Mdk kernel and my vanilla
In running rkh I get this.........Checking loaded kernel modules... Skipped!
Have I got a glitch ?
3) I am not a programmer but your file starting at line 3751 may have relevance?
if so, I ran cat /proc/modules with a nil result.
/proc/modules exists but is a 0 byte file.
so I then ran cat /proc/modules with nil result.
then I ran lsmod (su mode) nil result
hmmm, better install my flash drive me thinks to get a module loaded
so I loaded my memory stick and reran lsmod...still nil result but stick
works....weird
file:///lib/modules/2.6.18.2/kernel/drivers/usb/storage/usb-storage.ko
maybe the above module is not needed to run the stick?
Hence if true I better relook at my kernel design?
4) I have a wiki started at linuxquestions but got into picture server
problems...some pix are now lost.
Any kind person out there know a good pic server that allows links to a
thumbnail or decent size pic?
I am currently with http://picserver.student.utwente.nl/ but I suspect its got
some problems...yes I know it could be me heh heh
anyhow I am thinking of www.filehigh.com but am reluctant to set it up if it
too has server issues.
any advice would be greatly appreciated.
cheerio and thanks for reading a rather verbose post
