In order to get help with this, you need to ask someone who uses
synaptic. Perhaps your question on this matter would be better
directed to an Ubuntu mail echo.

you'll find that there is no lack of jerks on various mail
echoes which believe there are. Just ignore them.

This is not an Ubuntu help line. If you want help using rkhunter,
then some people can help.

I can tell you how to use rkhunter. I'm not an expert, but I've
been using it for a few years. If you want help trying to use whatever
Ubuntu supplies, then you might get better results asking at an
Ubuntu expert mail echo.
The way I used rkhunter was to download the tarball, extract the
files inside the tarball, and run the installer. If you want to
do that, then I can help.

Using rkhunter is pretty easy. Configuring it is, too.
