Hi,
I was doing my Homework in Linux uild 26, and I needed to print
it out, but it said I didn't have a printer. But, I set it up when I was
doing the install. What happened to it? How do I set up the printer
again? I went into the printer properties and didn't see anything to ADD
printer.
I learned how to save something to a floppy disk, and retrieve
it, but it seems like a pain to do it the round about way to get there,
go through all these menues of drives to find it. Is there a way to get
to it easily, like in Windows? And when I put a new floppy disk in, it
didn't read the floppy, it just put the list of the stuff that was on the
previous disk. I had to RE-BOOT the computer to get it to see the new
disk. Is that normal? When I tried to import a file that I saved as a
.TXT file, it wouldn't import it into KWORD.
A box poped up that said:
could not import file of type text/ plain
Also with that, I tried to play a music CD and it said the CD-ROM
wasn't mounted. here's what it said:
Could not mount device:
Reported error was:
mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on
/dev/cdrom, or too many mounted file systems.
The CD-ROM worked with the last build- 25. What do I do to get it to
work?
Dave
