i need more detail here.  which program said you didn't have a printer?
KWORD  when i did the test printer in Install, it was slow, but it worked., however I did not try to print a KWORD document. should I try that?
can You give me a screenshot?  I don't know how
what's the contents of your /etc/printcap file? what is that? remember, i don't know anything but what's on the desk top. and the menu bars. I don't know coding, But I'll try to look for it.

I learned how to save something to a floppy disk, and retrieve

right now there is no icon on the file dialog for the floppy disk.  this is
a good thing to add.  the easy way to use the floppy is to click on it in My
Linux System and use all operations through the gui.  but yes, we should
find a way to add it to the file dialog menus also.
some how I found a menu bar for the top of the desk top. in there I put mount floppy and CD-ROM That's how I was able to use the Floppy. in build 25, that method worked for reading the CD-ROM drive also.

i'll look into this.  it shouldn't be happening.

hmm, try build 27.  i updated all of kde in build 27.

what command did you use to play the cd?  it should start playing as soon as
you insert the cd.  no mounting is necessary.  if this is a kautorun issue,
it should be fixed in build 27.
I just popped it in. when it didn't go on after a while, I clicked on the CD-ROM icon with he sunglasses on the control bar on the bottom. (that's when it said it didn't work) I also went into the KDE menu (like start menu in Windows) and clicked on listen to music CD. niether method worked.

thanks Joe
