I have been using ICEwm on Libranet Debian Linux, and I like the ICEwm better than KDE for many reasons. For one thing ICE is a lot quicker, and for all intents and purposes ICE can do just as much as KDE. ICE also runs all the KDE applications so when you choose ICE as your window manager you don;t really lose your KDE apps at all. Here's the deal, after using KDE and the Mozilla mail, I really don't like the way KDE places the Mozilla mail into the little up arrow deal. It's not user friendly as it's tedious to use. Another problem with this new KDE is the menu system gets stuck open and then it takes extra effort to close it. I would like to get off of KDE and onto ICE as quickly as possible otherwise, I'll probably just go back to Libranet which is a great Linux system anyway. I do like Redmond, and the developers have done a good job, but right now without ICE, Redmond isn't all that much fun.
