Am instalat pe XP1000. Tot ce iti pot spune este www.alphalinux.org si
opensource.compaq.com . Ar trebui sa gasesti acolo un cd JumpStart! for
Alpha. In principiu e un CD de boot cu care se poate mai instala mai usor
linux pe alpha in general. Suporta mai toate distributiile care suporta
alpha, inclusiv debian. Si nu, nu am instalat cu JumpStart. Am folosit
vechea metoda, discheta + NFS. Se putea face si mai frumos, dar nu eram
atat sic la acea vreme.
Conform www.alphalinux.org ultima versiune stabila pentru alpha este
2.2.19 . Nu te-as sfatui sa incerci 2.4.x . Nu am auzit de succese
_complete_ cu 2.4 pe alpha inca.
