varianta 1) (nu stiu daca e functionala, pe RedHat 7.1 merge)
installerul de mandrake stie sa faca RAID1 inca de la install. faci
toate partitiile Linux Raid Autodetect, si se pricepe instalerul.
varianta 2) (sigur merge, am facut eu)
2.1 - pui primul HDD pe primul controller si al doilea pe al doilea
controller, astfel incat sa fie hda si hdc.
2.2 - partitionezi hdd-urile identic si la fel ca dimensiune, doar ca
(in afara de swap), partitiile pe hda sunt de tipul 82 (Linux) si pe hdc
de tipul fd (Linux RAID Autodetect)
2.3 - instalezi mandrake - whatever
2.4 - compilezi un kernel cu suport de RAID (nu stiu daca ala cu care
vine mandrake nu cumva are deja asa ceva)
2.5 - instalezi raidtools 0.94 (sau anyway, the latest) - rpmfind &
google are your friends
2.6. - te duci frumos la
http://www.linuxdoc.org/HOWTO/Software-RAID-HOWTO.html si citesti. ce
vrei tu sa faci mai departe e explicat step by step incepand cu punctul
4. Eu cand am facut prima data (cu fro 3-4 luni in urma) am facut exact
step by step ce zicea in documentu asta (dech, google is my friend too),
si stupoare generala: a mers din prima :))
