Yes, I was looking for a POS that can do some invoicing. And a menu and all the good reports you get from doing inventory. ;-}

Now, free drinks...hummm...I wouldn't need a Point of Sale if I was going to give them away. ;-}

Thanks again,
Paul

There are a lot of big companies using linux for POS... Companies you've heard of and likely been in. Nationwide clothing stores, auto part stores, paint stores, convience stores. Some with as many as 80,000 registers.. but I suspect these are using 'commerical' apps on top of linux.

Are you looking for a 'stupid' cash register, or something that will print an invoice with details of the drinks ordered, and support 'inventory control reports' (Hmmm. we sold 3 Bud-lites, but 6 are 'missing')

Are there any free drinks in my future if I find something that works for you? - jim

Does anyone have any information on Point of Sale software? I would like some information on a 3 or 4 terminal system for a bar. Does anyone have any experiance with an Open Source solution?

I have done the normal surfing/research, but would like to know if anyone has actually used any of the software.

Thanks Paul
