I found a wonderful encyclopedic resource called Wikipedia (www.wikipedia.org). Since this amazing open encyclopedia allows you to edit the text of the articles, I am not sure how they manage to keep it from being spoiled by vandals and "helpful" (but incorrect) newbies, but so far the information has been terrific. No graphics or ads, so it's fast too. I found it while looking up the details of the RC4 encryption algorithm and related topics. Anyway, here are some links that I found helpful to my understanding of the current discussion. They reference quite a few other window managers and desktop environments besides those mentioned in this thread.
