Those greedy folks at Verisign have done it again. They've set up the
TLD root servers with a wildcard such that ANY domain query that does
not resolve will now resolve to 64.94.110.11. Try it - `dig
boguscrappy.com` (or any nonsensical domain) and you'll see. Worse yet
that IP redirects a browser to Verisign's own sitefinder page... try
http://boguscrappy.com in your browser.

In effect this breaks a whole slew of standards that rely upon an
unresolved domain reporting as such. There is a bind patch to fix this
issue, but IMHO the issue is deeper than this. There is a petition at
http://www.petitiononline.com/icanndns/petition.html that explains the
situation better. If you feel so inclined visit that site and sign the
petition. This is simply wrong...
