For those of you who missed the meeting last night, let me mention a few things that everyone may be interested in:
- Tim is now the official person in charge of announcing meetings. This will prevent the "4 hours before the meeting" announcements, otherwise known as the "RLUG flash meetings". - Dave is in charge of finding topics for us to talk about. Hopefully he'll post here (hint, hint) what he has lined up for the next couple of months. - Bruce has graciously allowed us to have our meetings in his board room at GBIS, and he will also be providing wireless for us during future meetings. - Sam is working on moving RLUG (and RAWUG) over to a Linode (linode.com), so we can consolidate and manage our web sites, mailing lists and domains easier. - Dennis will help with the NNCS preparations when the tax season ends. - I'd also like to thank Tim for giving the Suse (and FreeSBIE) demo on such short notice, thanks Tim! Lastly, if you know anyone who would be interested in going to the next RLUG meeting, please invite them! Even pure Windows and Mac users are welcome to come and learn about what Linux and free software has to offer. -- Mark C.
