When I installed Ubuntu - I set up my system as a dual boot. I have twin 160 Gb
drives with Suse on sda* and Ubuntu on sdb*. I copied my /home/$user
directories on Suse over to a slush directory on Ubuntu.

Also - downloaded Skype ran dpkg -i "skypepackage.deb" It looks like it
installed, shows on the menu but does NOT run when selected. AND strangely
enough, when I type locate skype* I get nothing, nada, zip.

When I search for it in Synaptic - it shows the package as installed.

WTF is going on here?? (Learning the quirks of a new distro is so annoying!!)

Hey Dennis,

I don't use evolution -- so I'm taking a wild stab here. It should be
possible to export your mail/etc from evolution on Suse into a file that
can be easily imported into evolution on Ubuntu. This should be a
function of the evolution software.

Wait! Is Suse still running? I'm confused.
