Okay this is becoming absolutely ridiculous: I did a full re-install of Ubuntu.
I set up Evolution for my Imap account. It appeared to be working fine. Then I attempted to import my address book from an older version of Evolution. but the software said "Nah - I don't even know what the hell this is." So I quit. Double checked then changed permissions on the file I wanted to import. NOW - Evolution won't come up!!!! I click on the icon - it says it's starting then just quits!!! When I try it from a command line the response is "es menu class init" and it just sits there. I am becoming irritated beyond reason. I didn't have any of these kinds of problems on my laptop.
