Hi All,
I was presented with a lot of great ideas for the meeting next month.
Here's what I'm thinking for structure (stolen from Jay):
30min: General discussion
1hr: Main topic
30min: Secondary topic
With two topics, one can targeted towards the more advanced users and the
other for beginners. With this structure the crowd that typically attends
once, may come back for seconds.
For next month we discussed having a primary topic titled "Linux
Useability", or "Being Productive With Linux". It should be a very basic
discussion composed of several 10-20min presentations by various people on
the tools they use to be productive in the Linux environment. If you're
interested in presenting software/etc on this topic let me know so that we
can begin coordinating.
For the secondary, advanced talk I was thinking about discussing software
RAID, and mdadm. But, if someone has a better idea -- one that relates to
the primary topic would be nice ;) -- please let me know.
- Sebastian
