I got an email about Edubuntu last week and checked out the specific website they created for it. There are a number of "Charter Schools" in northern Nevada so I passed the info on to a couple of them. We'll see if anything pans out.
However, unfortunately in this area most scholastic IT folks are solid 'M$ because it's all they know. That's really a shame too, because most of these charter schools are on very tight budgets.
