I'm still trying to figure out why some pythonistas think Ruby
is similar to Python.  I suppose if all you know is Python and
Perl, yeah, Ruby would seem more similar to Python simply
because the syntax is cleaner.  But that's about where the
similarity ends.  Ruby syntax is much more flexible (which
Pythonistas would consider a point in favor of Python), and the
underlying OO implementation is *much* different from that of
Python.

If anyone wants to discuss this in detail, they're welcome to
email me off-list.  OTOH, perhaps we might consider having
a meeting topic of scripting languages...
