*** Taking the Sierra Spirit bus from the Circus Circus parking structure
to the UNR campus worked well last month, so we'll use a similar technique
this month. I'll meet all commuting members at the Sierra Spirit stop in
front of the JTSU (cross street is Artemesia) at about 5:45pm. I will not
ride the bus to the parking structure this month, as it cost too much
time. We'll wait at the JTSU bus stop until about 5:55pm before leaving
for the meeting.

ANNOUNCEMENT November 9, 2005
~~~~~~~~~~~
Date: Thursday, November 10, 2005
Time: 6:00pm
Where: Scrugham Engineering and Mines room 344
University of Nevada, Reno
We have two discussions by Brian Morris this month. The first,
beginner-level discussion topic is gaming on Linux. We highly recommend
this talk to all game addicts. The second, advanced-level discussion is
on using chroot to run 32-bit applications on 64-bit architectures.
We will have extra time for short talks or topics this meeting, so if you
have something of interest you're welcome to bring it up! There will also
be the obligatory topic tangents, as well as Q&A and general discussion
time.
As always, we'll head somewhere for beer, food, merriment, and chat after
the meeting.
THE "WHY" PART
~~~~~~~~~~~~
The objective of a Linux User Group is to provide a focal point for the
local Linux community to discuss aspects of the Linux operating system,
provide educational services regarding Linux, maintain a list of Linux
savvy consultants, and to provide a social environment for Linux users
to meet and exchange ideas.
If you have any questions please contact info at rlug.org.
Cheers!
P.S. If you know of anyone who may be interested in participating in RLUG
let
them know about this meeting!
