##### When no one else replied regarding amateur radio, I sent the
following directly to Don. Now that there has been another reply, I
decided I should resend it to the group.

Hi Don...
Once upon a time, I was the most avid ham on the air. After 52
years, first as W0WWT in Topeka and later as W6BWB in Santa Cruz, I
still maintain my license, however, I'm just about as inactive as
can be.
Over the years, I operated everything from 160 Meters thru 23
Centimeters. I've talked to every part of the world. Finally, I
found my calling in the VHF and UHF region using weak signal long
distance techniques (SSB & CW).
I used to design and build all my own equipment. I still have a
library of ham books and magazines that go back to the middle
1950's. I have a 40 M dipole still up from a time when I kept in
touch with a friend a few years ago. Equipment is a Kenwood TS-680
(160 M thru 6 M) and a bunch of transverters and amplifiers for VHF
and UHF SSB that are not hooked up at present.
Sorry I'm not the active ham you'd hoped to find...
