I think DNS responses could be spoofed also. Maybe DHCP? Anywhere with a non-crypto nonce protection. Surprisingly, I found some interesting attacks against them in Schneier's Practical Cryptography, or perhaps it was his Yarrow paper. There was also an OS fingerprinting technique that worked based off that.
