Knew it! Spent way to many hours trying to get things to work under
Rocks then other provision systems (WareWulf or Perceus, etc).

I actually did not add the socket line in my RBH configuration. What I
did was in /etc/my.cnf add the socket path. I also did the same in my
/root/.my.cnf file.

I think the trick, as I mentioned on the ROCKS listsrv is modify the
order of /etc/ld.so.conf to add Rocks-Foundation at the end of the
file. This resolved all my issues.
