Hi Markus,
In Robinhood's HSM purpose, when a file is deleted from the active file system,
a copy still remains on the archive tier unless or until a cleanup is
specifically requested. This is referred to as deferred removal or "soft rm". I
don't know if deferred removal is a feature available in the other RBH purposes.
The following configuration block tells RBH to remove files from the archive 24
hours after they are removed from the active tier:
hsm_remove_policy {
# enable deferred removal in the archive
hsm_remove = TRUE;
# delay before object removal
deferred_remove_delay = 24h;
}
