Hi,

In our situation ldap is not configured on the scanning host so that
the 'owner' field in the database is mostly numerical (except for
local users).

If you have that type of database, then you can search using the
wildcard "*" and brackets:
$ rbh-find -f lustre1 --user "123[34]*" /lustre1

This feature is not documented in the man page, maybe the search
patterns can be more elaborate

I am not an expert of the robinhood internals.   I also think the
database should only contain uid and gid.  The name resolution would
be done afterwards by the query tools.
