Hi Aurélien

Thank you for your prompt answer.

I'll check immediately.

On this file system the creation rate is not so high. Exactly I cannot
answer but from the logs of RBH I would said max. ~ 1000/2000 entries/s
but often less.

mdt and ost are on different servers:

/dev/mapper/lnec-mdt 2.7T 37G 2.7T 2% /rw/mnt/lustre/lnec-mdt
/dev/mapper/mgt 1008M 34M 974M 4% /rw/mnt/lustre/mgt

Before clear and de-register the changelog we had the following output:

# cat /proc/fs/lustre/mdd/lnec-MDT0000/changelog_users
current index: 4586290995
ID index
cl3 4586260190

4586290995-4586260190=30805 records

Following some other output we had when we stop changelog:

monchmds01#cat /proc/fs/lustre/mdd/lnec-MDT0000/changelog_users
current index: 4586290995
ID index
cl3 4586260190

monchmds01#lctl --device lnec-MDT0000 changelog_deregister cl3
error: changelog_deregister: No space left on device

monchmds01#cat /proc/fs/lustre/mdd/lnec-MDT0000/changelog_users
current index: 4586291186
ID index
monchmds01#

I cannot understand how 30805 records can fill the device but maybe I'm
misunderstanding something.
