Hello,

What lustre version and what robinhood version are you using?
Do you archive with HSM or is it just a standalone FS?

The robinhood tools to do that no longer build since lustre 2.4 because some lustre internal structure are no longer defined in lustre userland headers, so it's not going to be easy... Whatever the next steps, there should be enough info in RBH DB to create namespace entries on the MDT and then link OST object to this newly created fids. Backup your robinhood DB ASAP, as it reflects the most recent state of your filesystem. Depending on the state of your filesystem, rbh-diff can be useful to detect the changes between your current MDT state and what is saved in RBH DB.
Can your MDT be mounted? or is it just some isolated corrupted inodes?
Another idea is installing a robinhood build for Lustre 2.3... It may do the trick.... Never tested.

Good luck with your bad MDT...
Thomas

Good Afternoon Folks,
Is the lustre disaster recovery for rebuilding an MDT still
non-functional? We have an MDT with sizable holes in its raid and this would
be super-useful.
