Hi Guys,
Last week, our main mirror server blew up and we moved all the mirrors
to another box with a completely different IP address. I updated our
"rockbox.positive-internet.com" A record to reflect this but I've just
realised that your download.rockbox.org DNS entries are A records and
not CNAME records so this hasn't changed.
So, in short, can you please update your DNS so that the one A record in
the RR DNS corresponding to our server:
download.rockbox.org. A 80.87.134.17
becomes
download.rockbox.org. A 216.116.68.8
or
download.rockbox.org CNAME rockbox.positive-internet.com
Not sure what happens if you mix A records and CNAME records when you're
doing round-robin DNS like this, but currently connections to that
original IP will be failing.
I am hoping that we can restore the mirror machine on that old IP
address but this probably wont be for a few more days.
Kind regards,
Stephen Harker
