So, stemming from the Patch of the Week / Focus discussions, here's yet
another thing we can do (independently of either of those).
The idea is to create a "Contribute" link in the menu on the left. This
link would lead to a page where we describe how to contribute to
development (write a patch, post to tracker, discuss, improve, when you
think it's ready and you're willing to fix problems, post to -dev, etc)
and documentation (update wiki, patch against manual, etc). This page
would have the summary of a "process" for getting attention to patches
you've created and think are done as well as having links to pages like
SimpleGuideToCompiling, etc. We could also summarize the common hurdles
/ requirements that tend to get in the way of new contributors, like our
general desire that memory use be as low as possible, and that things
should work on every target (when applicable) and so forth.
So, here's what I'm asking: Feedback from all of y'all as to what this
page should/could contain and/or mention. I'm obviously going to miss
some things. After I've got some feedback, I'll post a draft of what I
think the text of the page could look and sound like for further discussion.
