The player has a lowpass filter at about 12 khz. Its a hardware filter so rockbox won't change that. FWIW, rockbox does have a parametric EQ. If you want a lowpass, you can easily do the same thing on any rockbox device by setting the EQ to remove higher frequencies. No need to buy a new player. Mike
