I have thought the same thing.  My first suggestion is to buy a heatsink
for a PC with an included fan (much better cooling capacity).  I have
purchased a couple of these from Global Micro and they include double sided
thermal tape so you can attach them to almost any cpu (they also include a
power supply adapter).  My second suggestion is to get an actual 040
heatsink.  I have a link at work to a place that sells them.  I will put it
out when I get a chance.
