That's not actually true since Rodopi will generate a profiles file and
upload it to a Radius server.

The key here is that you use Rodopi create your Radius Profiles. You do
this by building several templates (fairly straight forward), and then
assigning them to the variety of plans. You just have to remember that
when adding attributes the Radius server should know what they are and
hence you would need to added the Dictionary file for that specific
Radius server.

In my opinion it is much better to use a Radius server that supports
ODBC as Rodopi can integrate with it better. Using other Radius servers
require Rodopi to FTP the users.txt (or other users file) to the Radius
server, and whilst this works well, can provide some issues if the file
gets very large.

As a side note here, Rodopi doesn't perform internal validation of
profiles, in the sense that it is possible to alter a users profile
manually. This allows you to run a second SQL task looking for overdue
accounts and changing their profiles. You need to be aware that the
Rodopi mechanism for Suspension and Closing accounts will need to be
looked at, but you can use this to provide some form of re-direct on
non-payment.

Suneel.

Subject: [Rodopi] IS anyone doing?

We've been through this and the ONLY way it will work with Rodopi is if
you
are using an ODBC radius server.
