Oscar,
I believe the new functionality is intentional so a single day archive
only shows entries from that day, and I think that makes the most sense.
I don't think that when someone tries to show entries from Oct 10,
2005 that it should show entries not from that day.
So I don't consider this a bug.

except for the Prev/Next entries navigation that now allows
navigation to older posts by linking to the appropriate
YYYYMMDD entries: when you go to Prev entries it shows only the
entries for one day (usually just one entry for most bloggers).
In 2.1, YYYYMMDD shows N entries starting at the given date
which I think is what the reader would expect when they navigate
back and forth (from one page with N entries to another page with
also N entries).
Is that a bug, or was the YYYYMMDD code changed to show only
blogs for the given date.
