Subject: Roller 3.0 RC1 installation issues
Dave,
I have installed 3.0 RC1 from scratch. Thanks for the hardwork. It is a nice
relase.
There are a few issues I want to bring to your attention.
1. In hibernate-cfg.xml, you added a new line for connection.datasource. But
it does not seem to work. I have to comment out that line to make hibernate
working. I am not familiar with hibernate, I can only guess that the name
java:comp/env/jdbc/rollerdb is not exactly the same as what is in server.xml
(jdbc/rollerdb).
2. The small images of themese is broken when I create new weblogs. It
appears that the sm-theme-*.png files should be in
roller-ui/authoring/images. After copying the images from each themes to
this directory, the preview image is working again.
3. On the frontpage, the "Weblog Directory" tab does not work. It goes to
/roller/frontpage//page/directory and it is 404. The search and the Entries
tab work fine.
4. The "Hot blogs" displays entries, but does not have links attached to the
listing.
Thanks,
