Isn't that 'Enable aggregated frontpage feeds' checkbox only for the feeds?! They work fine...don't have problems with them! I wanted an overview of the recentEntries of all hosted blogs, like the 'frontpage' theme templates deliver them. And the code I've written is almost similar to the frontpages one. So help is still needed. Issues on roller: -Yeah, as Mr. Gilliland already told, the hole installing process could be a bit easier. There are a lot of things to take care of. Isn't there space for more automation? - Authorization management for the individual bloggers is very raw. Now there are just three categories of bloggers. The admin, author and limited. It would be great, if the admin could choose out of a set of authorizations for a blogger. In terms of a multi-blog-multi-user-system this would be a great progression. E.g. a sites author in my terms of understanding should not be allowed to create a new blog. The global admin will unfortunately lose the control over the entire site in time. Now you assign those three user types to specific menue-items. Wouldn't it be better the other way around? Choose individual items for a general user as mentioned above. Hmmm...on the other side this could cause in a lot more work than advantages. -If I remember correctly, the global admin is not notified about new created blogs in his site. The blog creator has to invite the global admin in order to display the new blog in the admins main menue. Sure, he could visit the frontpage to find out, if there are new blogs. But here too, I think it's not in the meaning of a global admin. What about a checkbox, if he wants to be notified about new blogs? -What about a plugin system? For now, there are only a few plugins availble. E.g. there's a need for a velocity-import-tool-plugin to read urls, alternatively the content delivered by JSPs. I've tried to install the velocity-import-tool stuff, but I failed miserable. But here we go! I'm a stupid user and stupid users want to use roller... ;) Btw. can anyone tell me how to read JSPs in my templates, or to install the velocity-import-tool? -Furthermore, what attract my attention was that you get to the frontpage after the logon. Wouldn't it be better, if you were transfered to the administration page right away? Not everyone wants to include the weblog functionality into their templates. -The german roller translation is admixed with englisch. Could be better...:) Mmmm...hopefully these are some good ideas.
