First off, it's not an assumption, it's a fact. The patch itself works
perfectly, if you know how to code. The person writing the original
email said that the patch didn't like rom, or the patch didn't work.

Second off, nothing was intended to be "personal" about it, the person
doing the patch did it wrong. The person doing the patch assumed the
patch was wrong itself, and the person doing the patch fixed the
problem, with my help, emailed me back and thanked me for it.

Third off, I don't get "personal" with people; I call things for what
they are, I call a spade a spade, an idiot an idiot, an ignorant an
ignorant. Hey, that's who I am, that's how I've always been. If that
makes me an ass, well, that's someone else's opinion, and they're
certainly entitled to that. Welcome to freedom of thought. It's not like
I'm trying to FLAME this person, because, for the most part, I offer
advice as well. Granted, most don't want to take the advice I offer
(hire a coder, learn to code, buy a book in c or c++, or linux). If by
getting "personal", you mean speaking the truth, then by all means,
nobody speak the truth.

The fact of the matter was that it WAS the person behind the patch, and
he as much as admitted it to me in email, he'd forgotten something, as
well as it was human error on his part. I didn't say he was an idiot, I
simply said it was the person patching the code, NOT the code itself.
