Greetings list,
I am currently playing around with a ROM based code and have decided that I
don't like OLC for mass building. I've made some adjustments so that the OLC
is 'menu driven', but I have decided it might be faster to explore an
alternative where the builders may log onto a website and build the bulk of
the zone.
I have some experience with applets and a little with java (mostly client
side apps) and although I have experience with C and Visual Basic I have
never used them in a web format. The only place I've ever done any file
management from online is with MIVA which I no longer have access to with my
current host. I have no questions about the html portion of the pages, but
the file searching, saving, appending and etc is not very familiar to me.
Does anyone here have any examples of where something like this has been
done before, or perhaps some thoughts on whether it is a good idea or how
best to accomplish this?
