was up to date.
Because it is up to date. You haven't modified your source at all,
obviously. Or if you have it was just a header (.h) file.

>>What would I have to do if I wanted to add a snipt file or something
and re-compile the mud? Or add colors, get scan to work

Check out mudconnector.com or kyndig.com, post that you need a coder.
Good luck there. The other alternative is to find the snippets for
color, scan, etc, and try to install them yourself. You CAN do this,
however, you might run into problems that are a little complicated to
deal with. Buy yourself a good C programming book, or find a decent c
reference website online.

If you've just downloaded the source code, do yourself a favor and
install your favorite version of OLC, before you do ANYTHING else. Olc
is the largest patch for Rom, therefore it should be the first
installed.

If you're new to coding, and you just want the mud up quickly, then I
suggest QuickMud. There, you'll find Olc, Colour, a few other things.
This is a version of Rom that was designed to pretty much just compile
and run with the basics.
