First off, simply changing your levels isn't enough. Then again, I'm
sure you've been made aware of that.
That said, without seeing your code, nobody can really "help" you.
Debugging your errors and whatnot is a task left to the coder generally.
Here's a few things you CAN do (take it or leave it, honestly, don't
take it as a flame, or anything of the like because that's not what it's
meant as)
A> Restore your backup code (You DO have backups right??), then go
through piece by piece and try to figure out what it was you did wrong.
Changing ML -=SHOULDN'T=- be that complicated, if you stick to the
basics of code.
B> As already suggested, go through, use stc, printf, etc, inside each
bit of your code that you've changed. You'll find that this tells you
what it's getting to, what it's not.
C> GDB is your friend. If you mud's not dumping a core, search through
the list archives for how to use it. In fact, I believe that one's on
the FAQ somewhere.
D> Find a friend that knows how to code to look through it. Someone that
knows what they're doing, is seemingly familiar with code. Maybe they
can help you out, seeing something that nobody else sees.
E> Find a coder that's familiar with Rom to go through and help you out,
if you don't know what you're doing. I can't stress this enough, because
(as you're already finding out), if you don't know what you're doing,
you make more work on yourself just by trying to change something simple
like that.

Finally, reposting a topic, that's already under discussion is really in
bad taste. If the topic actually never made it to the list in the first
place, that's a different story completely, but, in this case it did,
and it had at least one response. Just somethin to keep in mind :)
