Easier, maybe. In fact, easier it would be. Then again, why worry about the telnet client your users are using? And who's to say they wouldn't just skip that part of creation, and never use the command. 10:1 that's what most would do. I'm not sure I see the usefulness of who's using what client. Truth be told, as someone said, most are just a rehash of telnet protocols with trigs, aliases, and (if you're lucky), mapping features.
