best memory leak checker is insure++ but it costs around 7k. I did have a chance to run it against ROM at work, not much really. A while back I posted a list of things that it found. On the romlist at least.
Insure++ is from parasoft corporation. You may be able to get say.. a 3 day trial outta them.
