Make sure you completely recompile your mud (ie: make clean, make) when
you edit merc.h.


You can remove any area by doing just what you said, however, you need
to make sure that the game itself doesn't link to that area from any
OTHER area (rooms, exits, objects, mobs, etc). A few areas need to
remain in the game, you can find a list of those at the faq
(http://www.hypercube.org/tess/rom/faq/section7.html#7.15)

I'm using QuickMUD on my linux box and I was wodnering how I can change 
the max level... I went to merc.h and changed the define, but it seemed 
to do nothing...

Also.. how do I go about deleting areas? do I just delete the area and 
remove the entry from areas.lst or wha?
