This is a few weeks old;

I hadn't been able to get to this. I've been using TCL based progs very
happily since the summer.
The last few days I've been exploring using cint embedded in my mud, and I
must say right now-

I'm very impressed. The CINT community is very helpful (albeit "slow" to
respond, the author lives in Japan) and the integration and understanding
isn't overly complex.

In short, I got my mud using emdebbed scriptable C, pretty easily.
If you are up to it, check this out. The best part, the "mobprog driver"
code can go away completely. You can load the mobprogs the same way that is
done now, and pass the code as a string to the cint interpreter. It took me
about 2 weeks to embed TCL.. about 2 days of reading, and 2 days of testing
with cint.

Good luck, it was real fun.
Now, it's time to rewrite all my progs again :)
