That's the resident memory in use by your process. That is, the amount of memory
that is in use by your program that is using REAL memory, rather than swap.
RES + SWAP = TOTAL. If the amount of resident memory drops, either you have
unloaded something from memory, or a portion of your process's memory has been swapped out to make room for another program. If this is on a server that you control I would check to make sure you have enough available memory for everything you are
running. If not, it may be time to add more RAM, or prune down the number of
processes you are running.
