I'm not quite sure if that's the right spot it's talking about... you
should be looking for a call to free_string most likely, as that chunk
you posted doesn't actually free anything... is there anything
surrounding that code that calls free_string or any type of free_
function?

Subject: problems recycling memory

Hiya,

I got a little bug today in the logs. It didn't crash
the game or anything, but it was doing something it
wasn't meant to do. For the pretitle code I have, it
attempts to rid the the { symbol if it is used so
pretitles cannot be colored but it doesn't work like
it should.  The bug said:

Thu May 26 21:13:44 2005 :: [*****] BUG: Attempt to
recyle invalid memory of size 4.
Thu May 26 21:13:44 2005 :: [*****] BUG: {B
Thu May 26 21:13:47 2005 :: [*****] BUG: Attempt to
recyle invalid memory of size 1.
Thu May 26 21:13:47 2005 :: [*****] BUG:

Here is the code I it's talking about:

        i = strlen(argument);
    if (argument[i-1] == '{' && argument[i-2] != '{')
                argument[i-1] = '\0';

Anyone know how to fix? Thanks much.

Brittany.
