This is a reply to a personal email, but I thought I'd
send to the list as I haven't recommended this book yet.

over 1000 quantity, I can knock off another 3%, and we'll
pick up the card insertion. Security magnets are still an

(btw, the TMC Resources page has a really good list of books
though I don't know who this "Kerningham" guy is. :)

As the headers say, 'What goes around come around...'
Two years ago I was struggling like you are now. :)
Not sure of your financial situation, but if you can
afford a book, may I recommend:
"C in Plain English", by Brain Overland, MIS Press
The first half of the book is a common English course
for people that know nothing. It's actually readable.
The second part is meant to be a reference for working
programmers, so the layout is alphabetical, and better
for looking things up and finding related issues than
most books that order things by complexity. If you only
pick up a book when you need one, this is the book to
reach for.
