Ok, Last night I cranked out a new condition like hunger/full/thirst.. I called it rest. Now it was simple to crank out but the thing I am wondering about is too much for the players. Now right now my mud has only 4 players, and then are all my characters. It isn't connected to the internet so no one else can connect to it. (I have a dialup, and for some reason my version of linux doesn't like my modem.. (I have friends sending me the newest version of linux)) so I don't know how players will react to it. as it sits right now one tick of sleep will give you 6 ticks of rest. and if you are on furniture it will give you double the number of ticks of rest. I raised the total condition for everything to 100. so they can with out furniture, after sleeping 17 ticks, it will give them 100 ticks of rest. I have it set up so you can set your rest to -1 for 50 trivia points (which you get either rewarded by 20 percent chance after finishing a quest, or killing a trivia reward mob, which of 2000 mobs on the mud, there is currently a max of 49 (equal to the number of areas I have). how would having to worry about how long a character slept affect how people play?
I guess I rambled up long enough. Zartha.
