He did point you in the right direction. One thing you're going to learn quickly is that most of the old time posters and imps have certain expectations. One of those is at least knowing a little about the code. There are hundreds of books on coding in C. I still use my New C Primer Plus that's over 14 years old for reference. Instead of getting upset over what was said, read what was said and ask if it applies to you. Yes, you are a newbie, all of us were once. Thing is, this list is several years old, and there are things that people expect. One thing is, mud coding is not a way to learn C. There are things done in mud code that are weird, break standards, and are not very readable. Anyways, here are some links for you to look at: http://www.kyndig.com - great site with a LOT of good information, faqs, boards..etc.http://www.mudconnector.com - good resources links, although semi outdated http://www.hypercube.org/tess/rom/ - Several faqs and links. There is also an archive of the mailing list... I just can't remember the address off the top of my head. Also, MSP is not standard in many code bases. It's something you have to do yourself.
