to our previous phone conversation concerning search for information on the
biodiesel situation in Romania, we are writing to introduce the activities of
the European Biodiesel Board and kindly ask you to answer some of our questions.
It will truly help us to get a general picture of biodiesel industry in Romania.
European
Biodiesel Board (EBB) is the European Federation of biodiesel producers. EBB
represents the interests of the EU biodiesel sector and promotes the use of
biodiesel in EU. Currently our federation associates 23 members accounting more
than 85% of EU biodiesel production. At present EBB is conducting a survey of
the main actors connected with the biodiesel industry in ten new European Member
States and accession countries. Given
you direct knowledge on this issue in Romania, we are looking for some insights
to the following issues: Who
are the main biodiesel producers in Romania? What
is the biodiesel production (if any) per year? What
is the installed capacity of biodiesel production per
year? What
is the legislative status? (is there a quota, is there an exception from the
excise duty-if so, in what level is the biodiesel
detaxed? Is
there a special agricultural policy or an aid program for
biofuels? Is
there a standard in place or does the EU standard (14214)
apply? Thank
